Just 10 minutes from downtown Banff, guests will be in awe the moment they step off the private coach and arrive at Mount View. Sweeping 360-degree mountain views and lush forest encircle our private grounds which are steeped in historic Banff charm. Mingle over cocktails and lawn games on the meadow green, then head into the roundhouse where a massive roaring fire & live music await. Our Western buffet includes house-smoked Alberta hip of beef and homestyle sides served with locally crafted spirits & beers. The larger of the two roundhouses, this space comfortably seats 232 guests (maximum 290). Inside, you will find a full bar, a central bonfire and a stage for live entertainment. The restrooms are located just outside the main event space. A locally carved wooden cowboy statue stands watch by the fire. Meadow Green outdoor space may be added for a fee.

Our Sales Commitment

Minimum Food & Beverage Rates

  • Cascade Roundhouse - starting at $12,000.00 + $2000 facility fee
  • Rundle Roundhouse - starting at $17,000.00 + $2500  facility fee
  • Cascade + Rundle Roundhouses - starting at $25,000.00 + $4500 facility fee
  • Semi-Private bookings - starting at $5,000.00 + facility fee

Facility fee includes water glasses on tables, service staff, bar staff, and a central bonfire.
Pricing may differ based on time of year. Exact quote to be given by Sales Manager.

Audio Visual & Music

With a private venue rental, DJs, bands and live entertainment are permitted. Entertainers are required to provide their own sound equipment as our in-house system is for house music only. The following equipment is provided free of charge:

  • Wireless Microphone
  • A speaker system into which you may connect an AUX compatible device, such as an smartphone or tablet (note: playlist must be pre-downloaded)

Group Policies

Access Times, Last Call & Venue Accessibility

  • Evening Events:
    Earliest guest arrival from 5:00 PM (may access venue for decor 1 hour prior to event start).
    All events/minimum spend requirements are based on a 5-hour booking from guest arrival to event finish.
    Latest last call is 11:30PM, with event finish at 12:00AM (all decor must be packed up and removed by this time).
    Please note that earlier access may be arranged for an additional minimum F&B spend/fee. Please contact a Sales Manager for exact pricing.

  • Daytime Events:
    Earliest access at 10:00 AM for decor or guests arrival.
    Last call at 2:30 PM, event ends at 3:00 PM  (all decor must be packed up and removed by this time).

Transportation
Groups are required to hire transportation to the venue and are responsible for all related costs. Guest parking is not permitted on site.

Wedding Specific Information

DECOR POLICY

  • Our standard table set up includes red & white checkered overlays, black horseshoe lantern, cutlery rollup, blue enamel dinnerware & glassware. We offer 3 table decor upgrades - pricing varies by package. Please ask our Events Manager for options & pricing.
  • Our staff are focused on preparing the space for an impeccable meal service and are therefore unable to set up décor that is brought in by the client. Our staff will set up any in house decor packages.
  • All décor needs (assembling center-pieces, unpacking décor, putting out place cards according to a seating plan, etc.) must be left in the hands of your Wedding Coordinator, Event Planner, or friends/family. Special Event Rentals Banff is a local company that aids with set up should more extensive assistance be required.
  • Mount View BBQ uses black horseshoe lanterns on all tables as part of the regular dinner set up. Guests are permitted to bring in additional candles for décor as long as the flame is contained within a votive.
  • We have very limited storage available at the venue, therefore we are not able to store décor at the venue in advance of the scheduled access time or after the event. All decor must be removed at the end of the event.

CAKES

  • We do not make cakes, however there are many exceptional bakers within the Bow Valley and we would be happy to make local recommendations for a professional cake should you require one.There is a cake cutting fee of $3.50/person to have the cake served at our buffet. There is no charge for cupcakes and guests are responsible for the set up of a cupcake station.

MAY WE HOLD OUR WEDDING CEREMONY AT THE RESTAURANT?

  • Yes, Mount View Barbecue is a stunning location for an outdoor ceremony and we offer ceremony packages starting from $699. Exchange vows in a private mountain meadow ceremony, surrounded by your closest friends and family. Then celebrate with a champagne toast and passed appetizers as you mingle on the meadow green. Our outdoor ceremony space is suitable for 6-200 guests, rental available from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Site must be completely clear by 3:00 pm. Private transportation is required as on-site parking is very limited. Please inquire with our Sales Manager for more information and package pricing.

IS THERE A DANCE-FLOOR?

  • Yes. Each roundhouse has a stage for live entertainment and ample space for dancing.
