Banff's Backcountry Distillery
Banff National Park is a place where people gather to seek new adventure and memorable experiences, and we’ve brought that back-country, campfire vibe inside at Park Distillery. If you’re looking for a space with a relaxed, youthful and fun atmosphere, wood-fire cookin’ and award winning spirits, Park is that place. We make everything in house including gin, vodka, unaged rye and barrel aged cocktails.
There's something about September in Banff; town is a little quieter, the mornings are brisk and afternoons warm, and if you're lucky you'll see the larches turn a brilliant shade of yellow.
For all these reasons and more, Ashley & Thomas chose to host their mountain wedding in early September at Park Distillery. Friends and family made their way from a sun-soaked outdoor ceremony to Park Distillery where they dined, danced and celebrated well into the night. Guests were greeted with a house-made Park cocktail and appetizers, while enjoying the last few warm summer rays on the patio.
As guests sat down for dinner, the special couple was toasted and celebrated with speeches and shoutouts. Once it was time to get the party started, the room was cleared for dancing and late night laughter around a crackling fire.
The warm ambiance and campfire-inspired menu paired perfectly with the mountain surroundings, playing into all the classic Canadian elements everyone remembers from their favorite weekends spent camping in the
Rockies.

What is the difference between a Private Venue booking and a Main Dining Room booking?
A private booking is when the entire venue is closed to the public, giving your group exclusive use of all areas, including the mountain view terrace, dining room and lounge. A private booking is always subject to a minimum food & beverage spend which may vary depending on the time of year and day of the week.
A main dining room booking is when tables in the restaurant are reserved for your group dinner but the restaurant remains open to the public. Please note, main dining room groups are seated at dinner tables upon arrival (there is no space for a standing reception).
What is a minimum spend?
A minimum spend is the amount your group is required to spend on food and beverage before 5% tax and 20% gratuity are applied. Items such as food, wine, and drinks (all consumed on-site) count towards a minimum spend. If the minimum spend requirement is not met, the difference will appear as a room fee on the final bill. Off-sales, gift cards and takeaway items do not contribute to the minimum spend.

Our guests gave us SO MANY compliments on the food, staff, atmosphere, and especially the cocktails!
Thank you so much for all you did to make our wedding reception such a perfect evening. In 2016, Andy and I stumbled across Park on the evening of my 30th birthday and agreed that it would be the perfect place for a party should we ever get married. When we got engaged in 2020 it was the first place we thought of and the evening we spent on Tuesday 15th February this year exceeded all of our expectations. The food was incredible (people are still talking about it!), the team was so friendly and hospitable and the room looked so cozy and inviting! Please pass our thanks on to the team who were working that evening who went above and beyond to make everyone feel so welcome and comfortable - we feasted, drank, laughed, cried and danced! One of our favourite memories of the day is when Andy and I arrived at Park ahead of our guests. We were a bit overwhelmed by the earlier proceedings of the day and, having neither of us had breakfast, were working off adrenaline rather than sustenance. The team allowed us to sit outside on the balcony, have a glass of wine and share a bowl of mac & cheese whilst watching the world go by on Banff Avenue. It was just perfect. Through the window we could see the room being dressed, the fire flickering and your team preparing to welcome our friends and family. We will treasure these memories forever and are so grateful to you and your colleagues for helping to create the most wonderful evening reception. ==
Just wanted to let you know (and the entirety of the staff) that we had an amazing evening in the Guides Room. The bartenders were incredible and fun, they were working hard and keeping the crowd entertained. The servers were on time and gracious for the entire event. Food was amazing, cocktails were so fun, service was unbeatable. Everyone in the party was so impressed with the food, drinks and service. We could not have asked for any more! Thank you, thank you! We cannot wait to come back. Please let the staff that helped out know how much we appreciate their work to make our day so special and exactly what we were hoping for!
We just wanted to send you both a HUGE thank you for Friday. We can’t get over how perfect the day went and how beautiful everything turned out. Hayley, thank you for being so patient and attentive with us over the last year and a half. Your suggestions and recommendations were so helpful and we can't thank you enough for making the day run so smoothly. Congrats again on the baby and we wish you nothing but the best! Kayla, thank you for ensuring everything ran smooth and for taking over like a champ!! Every single staff member that night was so incredible and we got so many compliments from our guests. Please give a thank you to Danny, Dylan, Mikayla, Zoë, Jessi, and Tem especially for being extra attentive and making us feel so special. We are so beyond grateful for you both and so happy we picked PARK for our wedding.
I truly cannot thank you (Hayley) or Park Distillery staff enough for helping create such a beautiful reception experience. We were so amazed by the servers and event coordinator!! Everything went so smoothly and the food/drinks were fantastic! We are so glad that we chose to go with Parks Distillery for our reception (and for them tolerating our rowdy families after they’ve had a few drinks haha). Our guests kept telling us how much they loved the space, and we couldn’t agree with them more!!
We had all of our guests tell us the food was delicious and they can not wait to get back to Banff and go to that restaurant for food! The bar tenders were also amazing, fun, social and quick at making drinks. Our coordinator was also very helpful! I loved it and would 100% do it again!
It was absolutely perfect. Everyone loved the food, the service and the venue. I couldn’t have asked for anything more!
We’ve had tons of compliments from our friends and family about the food, drinks, service, and venue! Please pass along our sincere compliments to all of the staff. Also, it was so nice to have you there to keep things running smoothly… so a big thanks to you!
We truly had a blast in Banff and both at our elopement and reception. The food and cocktails were delicious and the staff and atmosphere were so accommodating. It was perfect.
Everyone there thought it was a super time and our servers were incredible!
I could not believe how responsive and helpful everyone at Park Distillery was. Manuela and Vicky along with everyone else helping last night were absolutely amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better crew to be on board that night!
